Finding a Piano on the streets of Prague
Cafe owner Ondrej Kobza has been placing these pianos throughout the city with the intention of changing Prague’s social life and making it a little more lively. As of now, there is a total of 12 pianos dotting various locations around Naměstí Míru, Hlavní Nadraží train station, Kampa Island, and the Faculty of Philosophy - Charles University in Staromestská.
Hundreds of people finding the unusual art project interesting are coming together to try the pianos. During his first test outside Cafe V Lese, Ondrej Kobza witnessed the change in atmosphere as the piano's keys were set in action. Initially, though people found it confusing and weird to play the piano in a public space, they are now fully enjoying it. Kobza is hoping to make much more such piano appearances until Christmas or until the weather permits him to do so.
