Prague Pride 2013

No wonder, Prague Pride, confirms its status as the biggest LGBT festival in the region, taking place from August 12-18.

To celebrate the basic rights and liberties of homosexuals, same-sex couples and other minorities, the organizers are putting together a wide range of entertaining events, exhibitions, concerts, debates and theatre at various venues in Prague. A number of Czech and foreign artists will also perform at the concert, among which are Love Affair sound system and Hercules from NY, United States. On the last day of the event, several international stars and entertainers are expected to join the parade including DJs such as Danny Verde.

The this year's theme of Prague Pride is “Let our colours out”. The spotlight will be on coming out as gay in the workplace, in politics and other fields. The purpose is to make people understand that coming out in the open is difficult for a homosexual and they need support from society.
